Thought for the day:
It’s a PITA that there are only two commonly used items of low-value legal tender in this country: the $1 bill and the 25¢ coin. It’s a shame that we don’t use the other coins and bills available at our disposal more often. Therefore, I made a snap decision that, from this point on, I will try to use these coins/bills as often as possible:
Of course, I’d be even happier if our coins were redesigned so that they have a logical size/shape/color progression (like British and Eurozone coins, for example), but that’s not likely to happen for a very long time, if ever.

A common “fallback/incredibly quick” meal for me is a bowl of pre-mix garden salad with salad dressing and finely-shredded cheese. These three ingredients, when combined, are so delightfully perfect that, if I don’t have on hand a salad dressing or an appropriate cheese, I will not consume a salad until I once again posess these items. That being said, I foolishly purchased two pounds of salad a week ago without also buying some Parmesan. After lunch today, I remembered that I have a block of Romano sitting in my fridge, just waiting to be grated…

After this little tidbit of news, it is now a mortal lock that I will buy a MacBook (non-)Pro the instant that they are released. If need be, I don’t care whose kidney I’d have to sell to get one.
