Thought for the day:

It’s a PITA that there are only two commonly used items of low-value legal tender in this country: the $1 bill and the 25¢ coin. It’s a shame that we don’t use the other coins and bills available at our disposal more often. Therefore, I made a snap decision that, from this point on, I will try to use these coins/bills as often as possible:

Of course, I’d be even happier if our coins were redesigned so that they have a logical size/shape/color progression (like British and Eurozone coins, for example), but that’s not likely to happen for a very long time, if ever.

  1. So at first I thought you misspelled pity, and I just moved on to read other people’s blogs. Clicked on yours the next day and finally realized what PITA stands for. :-P
